Datacentres New Zealand is a nationally connected tech community within Tech New Zealand, bringing together Aotearoa’s data centre ecosystem. We connect data centre providers, leaders, and advocates to strengthen New Zealand’s data centre industry, promote its capabilities and achievements, and help advance national policy and investment.
Led by a working group of data centre companies and ecosystem leaders, we’re building a cohesive voice and visible presence for the data centre industry in Aotearoa—one that attracts talent, investment, and partnership, and demonstrates the size, maturity, and economic contribution of our sector.
Data centres are the powerhouses behind our digital lives, enabling everything from essential government services and healthcare to online banking, e-commerce, and the next wave of AI innovation. As demand soars, this sector is not only creating new jobs and attracting investment, but also driving our transition to a low-carbon future by championing renewable energy and strengthening the resilience of our electricity grid.
